The last segment of the Taiwanese journey. The final flight home.

After arriving the previous day from Taipei via Fuzhou I get a sleep at a local hotel, where I catch the shuttle to the airport at 6. That means I have plenty of time to check my bag in (luckily no queue and I am able to change my seat to one that suits me better) pass all the necessary controls and browse the shops. Then, when the sun rises I still have time to take some photos through the windows in the scenery of a rising sun. After using Beijing Terminal 3 yet another time I must say that it really is decent and rather hassle free. Spacious, various shops and restaurants, benches to rest, get a nap, lie down, quiet areas. and the air condition works quite well.
But back to the flight. We depart with a slight delay which, due to winds will grown a little bit during the flight. I'm lucky to get the seat next to me empty (seated in row 24). The service comes right in time. Around an hour after take-off. The food is pretty nice. The crew walks around offering a top-up. For a minus, the windows have been blocked in a dimmed configuration for most of the flight. On a day flight... not a red-eye one, a day one. C'mon! Anyway. Time passes by slowly, movies, reading, music, small naps and finally we arrive in cloudy Warsaw with around 30 minutes of delay.
Summing up, I am content of the flight in total. Of the entire trip as well.

Christmas came and with the New Year ahead it was time to fly out somewhere. Destination: Taiwan, via China. First stop: Beijing

Christmas Day, late breakfast with the family and off to the airport. Quick and problem free baggage drop off, security and passport control. Boarding started more or less on time. Seated down in 7A with more than sufficient legroom I buckle up and wait for the pushback and takeoff. After we depart and head east it quickly gets dark and will stay that way all the way to Beijing. Some time into the flight the meals are served, one portion wasn't enough so later on I had to ask for a second one. With my stomach satisfied I could get on to the In Flight Entertainment system and watch some videos. The flight was rather smooth and passed by quickly. Oh, I would have forgotten about a small nap before arrival. Well needed at that time of the day. Surely a good start of the trip!

Another day, another Dreamliner arriving. Yet this time it was a little different due to the unusual circumstance of the captains retirement. For that occasion he did get a water salute.

After a year of flying for Air Europa, SP-LRF "Franek" returned back to Warsaw. Here is his first dusk at PPS12. Additionally one 737 is undergoing maintenance at the gate.

Norwegian Boeing 787 Dreamliner as DY7210 BKK-CPH

The Iran trip has reached its end. After more than a week of flying joy around Persia and the ASEAN it was time to return back home. Once again I flew back via Copenhagen. First BKK-CPH with Norwegian Air Shuttle and later on to Warsaw with SAS (this was a night night flight which I spent sleeping). The first leg though was hard to sleep on. 12 hours of flying from Bangkok to Copenhagen, the sun outside for the entire time granting us nice views on the Himalayas and Caucasus mountains. It also was my first long-haul flight on the 787 Dreamliner.

Today, the highlight was an Royal Air Force British Aerospace Avroliner ZE701. Also taken by chance: an Enter Air 737 resting, a LOT Dreamliner heading for the runway and a LOT E195 taxiing into position.

Another day at work. Today a Boeing 787 Dreamliner taxiing to its stand after a flight from Toronto. A KLM doing the same thing, and an Air France A320 being pushed back. All topped with a Day Airlines CRJ.

Recently there has been a couple of nice movements at EPWA. El Al arrived with a total of 4 Jumbo Jets in a time window of a week. The first 2 came from JFK and YYZ on the 24th of April in the morning and the second 2 came from TLV on the 30th of April, in the evening. Unfortunately I did not have the possibility to go and see the first 2. I only caught one of the evening ones, and not exactly as I wished to.

On the first day of May the 6th Dreamliner arrived for LOT from Everett. SP-LRF made a low pass before touching down on runway 33. I wanted to have different photos than I would usually make at that time of the day. Well, plans are always great, until you get to confront them with reality. Too much experimenting isn't always the best option. The final effect is satisfactory, but not the thing I wanted to achieve.

In the mean time two CanJet 737s' arrived from Canada to fly on charter routes for LOT. Both ex. RYR planes with Y189 config. I did not meet them yet, but as soon as I do, I'll post a couple of photos.

I couldn't forget about a couple of military planes that visited us. Including a HUAF Antonov and Finish guests. None of them seen by me this time. Unfortunately I don't have the ability to visit the airport every time something cool swings by.

A couple days ago, taking advantage in the beautiful weather outside I decided to go and catch the Blue 1 Boeing 717 operating till the end of March for SAS enroute CPH-WAW. Its scheduled time of arrival is minutes before 5pm and departure after 30 minutes. This results in stunning sunset light which gives opportunities for photos like no other.
